I’m happy to say that 2013 was even better than 2012. As a performer I’ve had the opportunity to play over 160 shows this year, both with my main projects and as a guest with some of my favorite Seattle bands and musicians. As a teacher I’ve continued my work with schools all over the city as well as with my own students, giving me a chance to make music and have a great time with over 50 kids aged 6 – 60. I got into grant writing, I traveled the coast and border states, and my chickens are still alive. Yep, a good year!

2013 Highlights

A busy week ahead with some long-time musical partners, a brand new band, and the return of Tiger’s Wood:

McTuff – Tuesday, January 8th @ Seamonster Lounge, 10:30pm – 21+
Tiger’s Wood – Wednesday, January 9th @ Triple Door Musicquarium, 8:30pm – 21+
Eclectic Approach – Thursday, January 10th @ Amber, 10pm – 21+
Eclectic Approach – Friday, January 11th @ Wild Buffalo, 8pm – 21+
Tim Carey Trio – Saturday, January 12th @ Hotel Monaco, Private Function
McTuff – Sunday, January 13th @ Marine View Church, 5pm – All-Ages

Eclectic Approach is a funk/pop group out of Seattle with a long list of accomplishments and a bright future. They recently performed on Jimmy Kimmel live and raised over $20,000 with a Kickstarter in December, and I’ll be subbing for their drummer on these two shows. Tiger’s Wood, featuring Richie Aldente members Tim Kennedy and Ian Sheridan, returns to the Musicquarium, McTuff visits Marine View Church’s Jazz Series, and I’ll be playing some straight-ahead jazz at Hotel Monaco with fellow Hardcoretet members Tim Carey and Aaron Otheim. Lots of different music with lots of talented players.
