June 2013: McSummer Begins

McSummer 2013

With our new album in the works and a crack team of music professionals on board to help with the release, McTuff has put together a busy summer of performances at festivals and venues to stir up some buzz. June brings shows at the Bellevue Jazz Fest, Pierce College Jazz Expo, Columbia City Beatwalk, Olympia Soulstice Celebration, and venues all over the northwest, with more coming in July. I’ll also be looking forward to a great Hardcoretet show at the end of the month featuring another incredible band, Industrial Revelation.

I’ll be calling Seamonster home in May with McTuff’s weekly and Hardcoretet’s show at the end of the month, and I’m looking forward to melting some faces in Hood Canal with Seduction and playing with Spellbinder, project of Santana drummer Michael Shrieve.

McTuff NYE Show!

A few months ago I joined one of my favorite Seattle bands, McTuff, and I’m happy to share we’ll be playing a New Year’s Eve show at the White Rabbit in Fremont along with the Yadda Yadda Blues Band.

McTuff is made up of Joe Doria on the Hammond B3 organ, Andy Coe on guitar, Cliff Colon on tenor sax and myself on drums. All of these guys are incredible players with complete facility and control on their instruments and really mature musical instincts. They know when to hold back, when to let loose and how to contribute to a group sound. They’re all great soloists and great ensemble players, which is a rare combination.

Cover for the show is only $8 and tickets are on sale now, so be sure to get yours before they’re gone at Brown Paper Tickets!
